9 Best Foundations For Oily Skin

I know how hard it is to find a foundation for oily, acne prone skin. It has taken me a lot of time (and money) to find the perfect foundation for myself. I’ve compiled the list below using my personal product preferences and esthetics education.

(All of the products listed below are oil free)

1. Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup $28.50

A lightweight, ‘liquidy’ foundation that gives a matte finish. It’s a bit easier to blend then most oil free foundations and provides perfect coverage. (Medium)

This is my personal go to, as it doesn’t clog pores or make me breakout. (Which is something rare for my skin)

2. BareMinerals BarePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation $34

Now this foundation is great for when you know you’ll be spending a night at a guys (or gals) house and don’t want to take off your makeup that night. (I’ve been there, no shame) Its not only light weight and non-comegenic, it’s considered “safe” to sleep in.

I DO NOT condone sleeping in makeup at all, but it does occasionally happen. If it does, this will be one of your safest choices. *However, it can be challenging to find a correct shade in store, as it skips over shades. It was also a bit harder to blend. (It sets quickly)

3. BOBBI BROWN Skin-Long Wear Weightless Foundation $47

Coming in 42 shades, this liquid foundation is great for those who need a fuller coverage with a tad of CC. Now, I wouldn’t recommend this product for those who are extremely sensitive to breakouts, it can be somewhat thicker than regular liquid foundations.

4. Armani Power Fabric Long Wear High Cover Foundation $64

This liquid foundation is great for those who are experiencing fine lines and hyperpigmentation. It is one of the best foundations out there that doesn’t crease (or build up) in those pesky aging lines. All while giving you a fuller coverage.

5. Lancôme Tint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation $47

A full coverage, liquid foundation that won’t (overly) dry your skin. Sometimes oil-free matte foundations can be a bit tough to work with because they quickly set once applied. But this product is great for those who are on the light-oily side of skin types.

6. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation $64

Similar to the Armani Power Fabric, this liquid foundation provides a lighter weight, medium coverage.

However, this has natural finish. As it settles between a soft matte and luminous effect. (A perfect finish in my opinion) There is no caking and is easy to blend

7. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Long Wear Foundation $48

Water resistant and transfer proof, this creamy medium/full coverage foundation is one of the few that actually feels weightless.

It has a true, naturally silky finish, non-comedogenic, and stays in place almost all day.

8. Lancôme Skin Feels Good Skin Nourishing Foundation $35

A light coverage foundation for those wanting a “no makeup”, glowy look without the fear of clogging pores.

9. Clinique Acne Solutions $29.50

Obviously, this foundation is for those with oily (or combination) and acne prone skin. Worry not, there are no irritating or over-drying ingredients.

It’s provides medium coverage with a matte finish, neutralizes redness and is non-comedogenic.
